Two date covers with 100 years old age difference
I have taken out these two covers from my collection to post in tis blog. The first item I want to show you is the 12/12/12 cover sent from Taiwan ROC. We have successfully done cover exchange on 12th Dec 2012, once in life time event. :) The cover I have sent out for exchange is blog-posted here by the addressee.
The second cover is exactly 100 years older than the cover above. This is the locally used registered cover mailed from Munich on 12/12/12, 12th December 1912. The stamps used are prince Luitpold, definitive stamps.
What an accident, prince Luitpold died on the morning of 12/12/12, the date on which the cover was sent out. So, 12th December 2012 is the centenary of this cover and centenary of the dealth of prince Luitpold as well.
